about

Please meet the primordial Greek goddess of the night: “Nyx“ assorts a collection of sonic material created for Tychonian sleep concerts––originally compiled as a submission for Tanner Menard’s “Sommeil“ performed in New Orleans in April 2009.

Music mixed and performed during the course of a night with an audience sleeping through it conventionally would feature ultra-calm tracks of clustered drones (like you’ll find on the album “Erebos“). However the landscape with its rolling hills may have some bizarre peaks poking out of the mists:
“Nyx“ highlights moments in the smooth flow of soundscapes that try to transcend the doldrums a bit faring briefly into wilder waters. Maybe the goddess herself will stop by to shroud you––hopefully sparking some unforeseen astral adventures.
Somniare aude!
(Feel free to rearrange and “renyx“ the tracks.)
